Local guide

01First impressions

Fude Street - Hushan is the residential area tucked into the lanes on both sides of Fude Street, and walking south to the end of the lane brings you right to the foot of Hushan. Fude Street isn't divided into numbered sections; it runs from Songshan Road, connects to Xinyi Road Section 6, and heads east - east of Lane 309 you're already in Nangang District, so this neighbourhood actually spans both Xinyi and Nangang Districts. Fude Elementary School and Liugong Junior High School are both within this neighbourhood, located in Zhongxing Li.

02What works

Fude Elementary School's catchment area covers all of Zhongxing Li, Zhongpo Li, and Baifu Li, and the school itself is right here in this neighbourhood. Walking south to the end of the lane on Fude Street takes you straight to the foot of Hushan. Hushan is one of the Four Beasts Mountains (along with Xiangshan, Shishan, and Baoshan), and you can head up via the Hushan Hiking Trail. The MRT Xinyi Line extension eastward is finally coming - the new Guangci/Fengtiangong Station opens on August 30, 2026. The station sits beneath the Guangci Bo'ai Park, between Lane 89 and Lane 137 of Fude Street, which actually falls within the neighbouring Yongchun/Houshanpi neighbourhood.

03Heads-up

Trash collection and street cleanliness rank dead last - 65th out of 65 neighbourhoods - making it the weakest point here. Sidewalks don't fare much better, coming in at 62nd, so watch your step when walking through the lanes. If you're in Renfu Li, note that your catchment school is Xiude Elementary School, which is actually located in Chengfu Li - not within this neighbourhood. The Guangci Bo'ai Park is also technically in the neighbouring neighbourhood, so factor that into any distance calculations.

04A bit of history

The land Liugong Junior High School sits on has an interesting water-management history: back in 1978, the city government completely filled in the original site of Zhongpi, part of the Liugong Canal, and built the school on top of it - Liugong Junior High School opened in 1979. This area waited a long time for MRT service. The plan to extend the Xinyi Line eastward was approved back in December 2009, but Guangci/Fengtiangong Station didn't actually open until August 30, 2026.

How are these measured?

Compared against the Taipei neighbourhoods in this guide; metrics without enough data are not ranked. Shopping counts convenience stores plus the nearer of a supermarket or a traditional market (public and private retail markets); night markets, vendor zones and shopping-street shops are not counted. Transit is rail-first with a lower weight for buses.

TidyMap rates the street environment and everyday convenience. It does not assess the home itself, safety, noise or actual living experience. About data limits
