Everyday life here

The MRT Green Line's Wenhua Senior High School Station sits at the intersection of Wenxin Road and Henan Road. Walking east from here takes you into Heyuan Village, where Chongqing Elementary School, Henan Park, and Chengdu Park are all located. Most of the streets in the 4th Redevelopment Zone are named after provinces and cities of mainland China. The streets in this village are named Henan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Ningxia, and Neijiang.

Heyuan Village was traditionally part of Hecuo; after the land redevelopment, it became part of the 4th Redevelopment Zone. 5168 divides the 4th Redevelopment Zone into three mature neighborhoods, one of which is called the "Chongqing Elementary School and Xitun 4th Redevelopment Zone neighborhood"—and that's where this neighborhood's name comes from. Along the edge of the neighborhood, Wenxin Road Section 3 and Henan Road each form a long stretch of the neighborhood boundary, with the rest of the boundary follows village lines through the lanes.

Living here

Chongqing Elementary School's attendance zone covers wards 1–17 and 20–33 of Heyuan Village, so this neighborhood's school sits right within the neighborhood itself. The MRT Green Line's Wenhua Senior High School Station is about 70 meters from the neighborhood's edge, and Wenxin Zhongqing Station is about 340 meters away.

Before you move in

This neighborhood covers only about 28 hectares, and with so few street photo samples, the score isn't enough to support a ranking, so this page has no rank. Wards 18 and 19 of Heyuan Village fall under Dapeng Elementary School's attendance zone, not Chongqing Elementary School's.

The story of this area

The 4th Redevelopment Zone is officially called the "4th Zhongzheng Dongshan Land Redevelopment," and it's the widest-ranging land redevelopment project in Taichung's history, spanning North District, Beitun District, and Xitun District. During the redevelopment, Wenxin Road, which served as the outer ring road at the time, was also opened upFrom the late Qing dynasty into the early Japanese colonial era, Hecuo was a zhuang (a type of village) called Hecuo Zhuang; in 1920 it was redesignated as a oaza (a Japanese-era administrative district). Today's villages of Heyuan, Hefu, Heren, and others all lie within its former boundaries.

How are these measured?

Compared against the Taichung neighborhoods in this guide; metrics without enough data are not ranked. Shopping counts convenience stores plus the nearer of a supermarket or a traditional market (public and private retail markets); night markets, vendor zones and shopping-street shops are not counted. Transit is rail-first with a lower weight for buses.

TidyMap rates the street environment and everyday convenience. It does not assess the home itself, safety, noise or actual living experience. About data limits
