New square blocks on the plain, with schools close by and one park after another
The closest neighborhoods in the same city.
Fengming is a new residential area laid out in square blocks, about 51 hectares; real-estate listings describe it as a rare stretch of flat land in Yingge, with plenty of green cover. Inside are Fengming Park, Fengfu Park and Doudoulong Park, and Fengming Elementary School and Fengming Junior High School are both here too, which real-estate listings say makes it easy for children to go to school close to home.
For groceries and meals, most people rely on Yingtao Road, which has convenience stores, fast-food chains, small eateries, pharmacies, a post office and banks. The land readjustment zone's own shops and services are only just getting going, so large shopping centres and hospitals mean looking in the surrounding areas.
Fengming Station opened as a temporary station on 30 November 2024, served only by local trains. On 30 June 2026 the Sanying Line opened, and its terminus, Yingtao Fude Station, is inside this neighborhood.
Public transit ranks 15th of 100 neighborhoods in New Taipei, in the upper tier. Schools are split between two: Fengming Elementary School's catchment is Fengming and Fengfu villages plus neighborhood units (lin) 23 to 33 of Fengxiang Village, and Yongji Elementary School's is Yongji Village plus lin 1 to 8 of Fengxiang Village. Lin 9 to 22 of Fengxiang Village can choose either school, and Dahu Village can choose Fengming or Zhonghu Elementary School.
Real-estate listings mention that the land readjustment zone is close to the Guishan Industrial Park, which raises concerns about air quality, with Guishan Cemetery to the north and Yingge Cemetery to the south.
In our street photos, sidewalks rank 86th of 100 neighborhoods in New Taipei and everyday shopping 93rd, both in the lower tier. Real-estate listings also say some roads linking the land readjustment zone to the old town, such as Fengji 4th Street, are narrow and hard for two cars to pass.
Fengming Fude Temple has moved several times along with the land readjustment. It first stood at the end of Lane 668, Yingtao Road, and in 2010 the readjustment moved it to park land at the corner of Longsan Road and Fengshan Road.
In 2013 it moved again, to Longyi Road in Fengfu Village, and in 2018 to park land at the corner of Fengsan Road and Longsan Road; in March 2019 the New Taipei City Public Works Department demolished it, and the temple announced it had bought other land and was preparing to move a fourth time. The area was once a mix of farmland and scattered homes, and only became today's residential district after the readjustment.
Fengming Station is still a temporary station; the permanent one is to be built with the Taoyuan Railway Underground Project, and its location is still in detailed planning. The overall plan to extend the Sanying Line to Bade in Taoyuan was approved by the Executive Yuan in August 2025.
At the end of September 2026, the contracts for the extension's electrical and mechanical systems and its underground civil works were awarded, and the Department of Rapid Transit Systems expects work to start by the end of the year, aiming for completion in 2034.
